How to Create a Soft Curl Look in 7 Steps!

Only have less than 10 minutes to get ready? Here’s a quick and easy hair tutorial to get soft curls!

All you need is:

2 hair elastics

Curling Iron (Babyliss Pro 1 inch Curling Iron)

Heat Protector (Redken's Iron Shape 11)

Paddle Brush (Sam Villa's Paddle Brush)

Hair Spray (Redken's Wind Blown 05)

STEP 1: Start with freshly washed and dried hair. Using your elastics, tie your hair in two tight high pony tails.

STEP 2: Apply heat protectant - I am using Redken’s "Iron Shape 11”. It is my go-to heat protector that protects hair against temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

STEP 3: Take a half inch-inch section of hair from your pony tail and curl away! Always curl your hair away from the face, this way the curls will frame your face.

STEP 4: Let the curls set for a few minutes. Remove the elastics.

STEP 5: Re-curl some pieces to give your hair dimension. I re-curled some pieces in the front to give me a softer look.

STEP 6: Hairspray your hair! I am using Redken’s "Wind Blown 05”. This hairspray gives me a light hold with texture.

STEP 7: Using your Paddle Brush, brush your curls softly to get your desired look. The paddle brush I'm using is from Sam Villa. The more you brush your curls, the softer and more wavy effect you will get.

In just 7 easy steps you can achieve a soft curl look. Don’t forget to have fun and be creative when styling your hair. What hair tutorial should I do next? Comment down below!
